Chalene Johnson

Frustrated with her own lack of results, she created these workouts specifically to tackle her own trouble area...her core... and to deliver quick results in a workout that would feel like a party.
A self-proclaimed music junkie and closet DJ, Chalene taught herself to digitally remaster and edit music so she could match her choreographed moves to songs and sound effects that would force people to jump up, dance, and kick it into high gear. Her classes proved so popular that a nationwide demand for videos soon followed. Chalene and her husband operate a company that now certifies fitness enthusiasts and Turbo fans to teach her format. To date over 50,000 instructors have trained with Chalene's company and are now helping hundreds of thousands of others to get in shape and have fun doing it!

Chaene is a sought after motivational speaker who lights a spark in people to achieve their goals, become a better spouse, friend, co-worker and humanitarian. Despite her devotion to her career, she is quick to turn down opportunities and move professional engagements to ensure she is present for her children.
In 1995 Chalene began experimenting with a class she called "Turbo" or "Turbo Kick" (To learn more visit http://www.turbokick.com), a fusion-style format with kickboxing, dance, hip-hop, and athletic drills. The classes was designed to target the abs while delivering an intense cardio workout. By 1997, word was spreading in small pockets across the country and Chalene began teaching other instructors how to deliver her unique brand of fitness.
A happily married mother of two, Chalene has appeared in over 80 exercise videos and continues to contribute her knowledge and expertise to leading health and fitness publications. In 2006, 2007 and 2008 Chalene was voted one of three finalists in the world by IDEA and Fitness as Instructor of the Year and was selected as their Inspirational Speaker for the IDEA Fusion 2007 convention. Chalene appears on t.v. as a regular fitness expert on such programs as QVC, E!, the OC Body and FOX11 and Better Bodies.
Someone who believes that fitness should be fun, that people are happier when they're healthier and life should be filled with laughter, Chalene's newsletters, pubilications, videos and motivational lectures help people put their dreams into motion.
